guitar amplification There are many types of guitar amplifier.Starting with a basic 10 watt amplifier which will be modestly priced progressing to 100 Watt guitar head and cab. It is not just the wattage power that makes the difference, but also the amount of control you have by way of the pre-amp - Bass, Middle, Treble, Gain and Presence. There are 3 main types of guitar amplifier. The cheapest and most numerous is the Transistor Amplifier. These vary enormously in quality, from the humble 10w Chinese to the 100w English or American. Next is the Valve Amplifier, the original & most would say the best. Yes they are much more expensive, but once you play through one there's no going back. The new kid on the block is the modelling amplifier with a microchip doing most the work and is able to fool even the most seasoned players into thinking that they are playing through a collection of expensive valve amps. We offer a price match policy and will take special orders Current special offers can be found here (opens in new window) |
