mixing desks Mixers are a way of grouping many signals together. Many types of mixer exist in all shapes and sizes. The most common are analogue multichannel desks with multiple inputs either for recording or for live use. All but the most basic will have some form of EQ or tone controls of some sort for each channel and various routing options. Some also incorporate effects processors built in. Digital mixers are gaining in popularity. These nearly always have some form of automation where settings can be recalled, most have moving faders and often have dynamics and effects built in also. However they can be more confusing to use than their analogue counterparts. The other type is generally used for smaller live applications, and is called a powered mixer. This of course is a combination of a pre-amp mixer, an amplifier and now more often than not a good effects processor. We carry many models in all shapes and sizes, offer
