The saxophone is the king of woodwind instruments and was invented by the Belgian Adolf Sax who liked the sound of brass but wanted to play the instrument using the clarinet technique.Soprano, alto, tenor or baritone - you will have an idea or know which one is right for you. 80% of all saxophones sold are alto as they are the easiest to play.
Prices range from £500 to £5000. The Saxophone has become increasingly popular. This being mainly due to the fact that the instrument has now crossed just about every musical genre. In the world of popular music it shares its prowess as a lead instrument with only two others, these being Guitar and Keyboard.
